From the Mississippi Gulf Coast to the energy industry across North America, Leigh Haas has built a career focused on people, trust, and real results.

Leigh started her career in politics, earning her master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and working with the Mississippi House of Representatives, along with other political initiatives. That foundation in policy, communication, and advocacy later shaped her move into energy.

She has worked with over 200 energy companies across more than 40 states, touching everything from carbon capture and wind farms to traditional energy projects. Over time, her work led her into the safety sector, where people, pressure, and performance intersect every day.

Today, Leigh runs her own company, Mockingbird, focused on supporting land professionals, strengthening safety culture, and making sure the people doing the work are valued and heard.

She also speaks openly about women in energy, the importance of mentorship, mental health in high-stress industries, and why strong relationships still matter more than titles.
